Dr. Alvarez-Rodriguez was born and raised in Southern California. She is a first generation Cuban-American, as both her parents are from Cuba, and therefore speaks English and Spanish with native fluency. Her educational background is broad and extensive, having attended and excelled at various American top ranking institutions, beginning with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Afterwards, she moved to Miami, Florida, and achieved a Masters in Science in Biomedical Sciences. She then temporarily settled in Pennsylvania for four years and received her Doctoral Degree in Dental Medicine (D.M.D) at the University of Pittsburgh.
